U-Turn Lives

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

I am interested in being part of this movement, but what is the typical commitment expected from my side?
These programs and events are being driven by the contribution and effort from volunteers. We understand you/all of us are busy on weekends with other activities, and hence there are no minimum requirements from a commitment standpoint. You can be involved anywhere at any event, from every week, to once a month, or once every six months depending on your schedule and availability, it’s your choice. However, in order to build a consistent schedule and implement basic forecast requirements, we request every volunteer to be involved on a periodic basis, but the frequency is left to each and every individual.

Do I have to bring something for distribution to be involved?

No, we welcome anybody who is willing to volunteer and help us in this initiative.

Is it safe for me to bring my/our kids into these programs?
Yes, of course! Most of the volunteers bring their kids when schedule permits. The kids are encouraged to get involved and be a part of the working process. We continuously monitor the surroundings for the safety of the children involved. Based on our experience so far, there has not been a single incident which could be perceived as harmful to the kids.

 Is this a religious organization?
No, this a group of like-minded individuals who come together with the common purpose of contributing to the society we live in.

I’m interested, what do I need to do to get started?
